This book is a very enjoyable read, I bought it to read on my kindle by the pool and couldn't have been more satisfied. The Secret of Yusan is a military/sci-fi/fantasy packed full of great imagery and fast action. The book follows Sierra through her journey in a fantasy world full of "espers" and Mechs. Sierra is a powerful esper (think Jedi meets Marvel's Avengers), fighting in a galactic war while struggling with the nightmares from her past, but you will have to read to find out where that takes her. Packed with spies, underhanded politics and occasional humor this book was very enjoyable and a unique read from an independent author.Product details

Downloaded this in UK as a holiday read and glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyable storyline, quick moving, varied settings and with good characterisations. I do love a good SciFi/Fantasy and this is what this is. I may have found a replacement in my affections for Jean Luc Picard in Tholan and Sierra is feisty with a good witty, slightly sarcastic line in banter. Omni and Aven are the 'jesters' of the book but very likable and funny.
The twist at the end threw me totally, did not see that coming. It was very well done as when you look back through the book you can see the clues with hindsight.
I really enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of Science Fiction and Fantasy, I love Asimov,Star Wars & Star Trek. With this book, I was carried along with fast moving plot, I really liked and cared about the main characters, particularly Tholan, Siera, Bylure and Cygen. While I would describe this as an action adventure, the text is interspersed with good use of humour and pathos.
This is a really good read,it moves from beginning to end, the plot has many twists and turns. I also liked that while you never lose sight of who you are supporting, the 'goodies' have some real faults and the 'badies' some real sympathanic points in their favour and this gives a real twist to the story line.
